ReplyDeleteI have always envisioned a larger conversation on what is the end goal of our classroom strategies and methodologies. That is, what kind of student are we trying to form and give back to society. I believe that education is a thorough process wherewith we as teachers work on the students intellect as well as his emotions and conduct.

Interesting qiuestion. I will always propose a more holistic and thorough approach since the students are more than just "the person sitting in our classroom", they are also, the boy or girl who has a home, who has friends, who has needs for food, entertainment and such, and therefore it is incumbent upon us as teachers to cater to those needs with the help and cooperation of their parents.
